Staying at Cambridge House with Karen & Glenn was a highlight of our holiday in Tassie. The house is beautiful, so historic yet comfortably furnished, full of interesting things and the breakfast is the best start to any day.
No matter what the weather you will be happy, warm and comfortable whether relaxing in the lounge room, your bedroom or in the lovely breakfast room. The gardens and verandah are stunning. Stop and check out the river bordering the garden for the resident platypus family!
Karen is knowledgeable of the local area and recommended some lovely detours on our day trips that were too good to miss by staying on the highway. Talk to Karen also about the wonderful travel memorabilia in the house and some of the amazing places she has been and daring pursuits she has done. She is a friendly, kind and caring host.
I can highly recommend the Cambridge House B&B to anyone visiting Geeveston and will be extremely happy when I am able to stay here again.
Geeveston is a lovely little town. The wooden carvings of local identities are amazing. Take a walk around the town and stop for lunch at a cafe to soak up the local sights and sounds.
Geeveston is a great place to stay while you look around the Huon Valley area with so many other places so close and day trips short, scenic with lots of places to visit. There is no end of photo opportunities & make sure you take some of the back roads to see as much as possible of the real scenery of the Huon area.
